I can't say enough good things about my experience! Rene and his partner were knowledgeable, honest, and extremely efficient. They installed numerous lighting in our home including a chandelier. My family is so happy with all our upgraded fixtures. Even my hard to please tween loves it 🙂 They definitely have a return customer with us.

I texted back with any questions I had, which he answered promptly. Also, all of his subcontractors did excellent, careful work. I would welcome them all back as well if I had more work for them. All the subs and John were careful about wearing masks and distancing as best as possible in this Covid time frame. I very much appreciated that. The job concluded a month ago and as far as I know, no one got Covid. I didn't. Another factor is that I believe his pricing was fair.

John and team have worked on projects for me over the last 4 years in all sorts of ways. Big or small, they really take the time to find the best solution, not the one that's the most expensive. It's nice to work with folks that are fair, honest and know how to get the job done.

Leimer Construction does really great work. They do large and small projects and do them professionally. I had them build and incredibly complex play structure and unusual series of 15' beam gates like you see in Kyoto and they did a phenomenal job. Not only that John himself and his guys like Brad and JP are just the nicest people. These are good humans running an ethical business and I hate to say it but that's not generally the case for contractors. Great work at a fair price, you can't beat that.

The project involved removing and replacing cabinets, counters, backsplash, appliances, painting, plumbing, windows and refinishing floors with more contemporary materials. John is very organized and efficient and is a great communicator. Happily, his team finished the project in 3 months, with little to no lags in between. They went out of their way to be accommodating and considerate, and followed through with every detail up to the very end. We have such a high regard for John and his right-hand man, Brad, whose professionalism, expertise, perfectionism, responsiveness and thoughtfulness surpassed our expectations; in fact, all the subs were terrific. We really enjoyed working with them; they actually made our remodel a pleasant experience. Thanks to John and his team, our kitchen transformed into a beautiful, contemporary gathering place. John has completed two projects for my property in Marin county. Both times, the result was superb quality. His crew was professional and easy to work with. The second project had difficulties with the home's foundation (unrelated to Leimer's work), and John was always quick to return my calls and rearrange his crew's schedule to address the issues ASAP.

John Leimer and his crew are the best! When we called John (in between rain storms) hoping that he could help us with our cracked and leaking skylight, he promptly responded although he was in the midst of other jobs. When the new skylight was delivered, John had an associate there immediately after delivery (actually they were waiting for the skylight!!).

The new skylight was installed as soon as it arrived, and we are now good to go for the next rains. John and his associates are prompt, professional, highly skilled, courteous, friendly, and respectful. We definitely will be calling John for all future work.

Yes they get busy, and you might have to wait a day or two in a non-emergency situation, but the quality of their work, the fairness of the price (more than fair to us, almost feel guilty about how little I pay).

In summary, I would entrust them wth any job they said they could do. Why, because there is an immediate sense of trust, and I have had the benefit of working with them on two occasions already.

This review is for the benefit of my neighbors in Marin, not for Leimer Construction. Nor is it critical of any other firm. Finally, if John or his crew cannot do the work, they will let you know and f they can, refer you to a reliable alternative.

He helped us set up custom cabinets and storage systems to hold our survival equipment, food, and water.
